The collection features a range of materials documenting Egbert's involvement in the Indian Service, family life, and Siletz tribal members. A majority of the photographs include cartes de visite, photograph albums, and postcards with portraits of Egbert's family and Siletz tribal members, including Charles Blacketer, Louie Fuller, and Molly Carmichael. The correspondence predominately follows Egbert's oldest daughter, Margaret Bensell, and her life in Minnesota with husband, Arthur Bensell, who was a Siletz tribal member working in BIA schools.
