Scope and Content: Jacobs Research Fund materials : 7 DVDs containing recordings of interviews with ten Inupiaq umiak owners, operators, and builders from two arctic Alaskan communities (Wainwright and Barrow), as well as photos of umiak boats and pertinent associated documents. Also included is a guide to the collection, featuring interviewee biographies.

Scope and Content: Research funded by the Jacobs Research Fund on "Ancient Boats - Modern Times: Documenting Skin Boat Lore and Living Tradition of Point Hope, Alaska". Includes grant application, final research evaluation, and 15 DVD-Rs containing video and audio interviews with skin boat makers and tradition bearers of Point Hope, Alaska.
