Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Leopoldo La Rosa Urbani (1931-2012) was a composer, musician, and orchestra director from Lima, Peru. Leopoldo studied music with his parents, who were professional musicians, before going on to study at the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica. He was the director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional for 17 years and became a professor of the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica.
