John J. Miller (1930 - ) was born in New York City, and attended the St. Francis School of Nursing, Columbus, Ohio. He began writing for publication in 1959. His stories often contained settings and characters in the medical profession. Miller was represented by the Lenniger Literary Agency.

The collection contains manuscripts and research notes of one novel, and the manuscript contains edits.

There are also manuscripts of twenty-nine confession stories, and material includes outlines, drafts, and revisions. Correspondence includes over fifty letters from Edith Margolis, of Lenniger Literary Agency, 1961 to 1965.
