Historical BackgroundReturn to Top
Photo Forum started in June 1988. The group was formed after some members attended a workshop with Bruce Barnbaum at the Coupeville Arts Center in the month prior to the group's formation. It was established as a forum for photograhers to strengthen their photographic skills and vision. The group holds monthly meetings which consist primarily of print review and discussion. Occasionally presentations are made on history of the photographic medium or photographic techniques. The group has consistently had around twenty members although members come and go. Only a few of the original members remained active with the group.

A portfolio of 15 photographs by members of the Photo Forum Photography group. Photographs submitted by various members of the Photo Forum to represent the collective work of the photographers who participate in the monthly meetings. Also includes a brief artist's statement concerning the history and focus of the Photo Forum and the criteria for inclusion in the inaugural edition of the portfolio collection.
