David Bunting (1940-) and William Thomas Trulove (1943- ) are both professors at Eastern Washington University. When Bunting was a doctoral student and Trulove was an assistant professor, they began researching the economic effects of the termination of the Klamath Indian Reservation. The duo wrote four papers concerning that subject during their collaboration.

The collection contains research files, surveys and interviews, original manuscripts, correspondence, and published material about the termination of the Klamath Indian Reservation.
The collection includes research proposals, progress reports, article manuscripts, topically related manuscripts and research papers, presentation material, surveys and interview summaries, newspaper clippings, published articles and reports, legal documents, books, bibliographies on the Klamath Tribe, and computer cards that relate to statistical data used.
Correspondence can also be found in many files throughout the collection.
Research data files include Klamath Indian financial, forest, grazing, income, welfare, and vital statistics, acts, correspondence and other documents related to the Termination Act, constitution and bylaws of Klamath General Council, and photocopied research data including Klamath Indian Bureau of Indian Affairs files and Klamath Indian files from the Federal Records Center.
