The collection describes how a vexel is used and the different types that exist. A vexel is a transmission of money. The notes also describe the words used on the vexel, when a vexel can be used, and what to do when a claim must be made against the vexel.

The collection also contains two examples of a vexel, one issued in Norway the other issued in Germany.
