The Chancellor of UW Bothell is responsible for all academic and educational matters on the Bothell campus. The chancellor reports to the UW Provost and is responsible through the Provost for campus academic planning, programs, and budget. The chancellor also reports to the UW President and is responsible through the President for representing the campus to the Board of Regents, to the Higher Education Coordinating Board, and to the State Legislature. The chancellor is responsible for representing the campus to the local and statewide community and for campus development and fundraising. The chancellor is directly responsible for campus administration and management.
Since its founding, the UW Bothell has been led by: Donna Kerr, Director of Branch Campus Planning and Dean of the UW Branch Campuses (1989-1990); John Keating, Dean of the UW Branch Campuses and Vice Provost (1990-1994); Norman Rose, Dean of UW Bothell and Vice Provost (1994-1998); Stanley Slater, Acting Chancellor and Dean of UW Bothell (1998-1999); Warren Buck, Chancellor and Dean of UW Bothell (1999-2005); Steven Olswang, Interim Chancellor of UW Bothell (2005-2007); Kenyon Chan, Chancellor of UW Bothell (2007-2013); and Bjong Wolf Yeigh, Chancellor of UW Bothell (2013-)
