Summary:The Utah Ski Archives Advisory Board records (1973-2012) contain correspondence, meeting agendas, auction forms, articles, art designs, brochures, memos, newsletters, and newspaper materials regarding the Ski Archives' annual fundraiser, "The Ski Affair." The Utah Ski Archives, established in 1989, was created in order to preserve a comprehensive history of skiing in Utah and the Intermountain region. The archives offer a unique opportunity for historical and contemporary research into Utah's prospering ski industry. Addendums to the Utah Ski Archives Advisory Board Records also contain materials regarding the building of the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center and the Alf Engen Ski Museum.

Engen photograph collection contains images documenting the history of skiing in Utah, including its origination, early skiers, and the development of ski jumping and ski competitions. Much of the collection focuses on the Engen brothers, Sverre, Alf, and Corey and their contributions to the development of skiing in Utah. Summary:The Ski Utah Associates records (1962-2010) contain correspondence, meeting minutes, member lists, news clippings, logo designs, trail maps, press releases, and brochures. Originally called the Olympic Ski Club, Ski Utah Associates was formed by a group of civic-minded business leaders who sought to convince out-of-state skiers of the bounteous skiing opportunities in the Wasatch Mountains, as well as to explore the possibility of hosting the Olympic Winter Games in Utah.

Summary:The Gordon and Peg Alcott papers (1938-1996) consist of materials documenting the Alta ski patrol acttivities of Gordon and Peg Alcott. Included are notes, ski patrol manuals, avalanche rescue manuals, clippings concerning ski patrol activities, and a scrapbook of promotional materials about the Alta ski resort (1971-1972). Also included is a brochure from the 1936 Winter Olympics in Germany. Gordon Alcott was an original member of the ski patrol at the Alta Ski Resort. Peg Alcott also served on the Alta ski patrol.

Summary:The Bonnie Speyer Carluccio papers (1864-1959) consist of memorabilia from the Speyer family and Bonnie's sporting activities as a young person growing up in Alta, Utah. The collection is comprised of two sport scrapbooks of news articles, several folders of news clippings, a racer's seed number from the Junior National Olympics held in Reno, Nevada, and an Intermountain Professional Ski Instructor of America pin.

Summary:The Timp Haven Ski Area clippings (1945-1978) contain content concerning Ray and Ava Stewart and their involvement with the Timp Haven Ski Area and clippings concerning ski racing, ski jumping, and ski resort development. The Timp Haven Ski Area is located in Provo Canyon, Utah. It was founded in 1943 and was known as Timp Haven until 1971 when it was purchased by Robert Redford who renamed it Sundance Ski Resort.

Summary:The Cottonwood Club Ski Program records consist of a scrapbook. The program was founded in 1964. Through the club young people learn to ski. Each year about one hundred and twenty youths participate in the Ski Program. The program involves a weekly trip up Little Cottonwood Canyon for ski instruction. The Cottonwood Club Ski Program is associated with the Alf Engen Ski School held at Alta Ski Resort.
