Summary:This collection contains the materials Sara Bruya and others utilized and produced during the creation of the “We Are Missoula: Thoughts on Change in a Growing Environment” book. The focus of the interviews was to examine the role of the individual in the larger community and the reciprocal relationship of the community and the individual.

Summary:The collection contains a speech by Duncan McDonald. The speech contains McDonald’s recollections and knowledge on Native Americans, the National Bison Range, Missoula and Native American mythology. McDonald gave the speech to an audience at the University of Montana Auditorium on February 22, 1915.

Summary:The Montana Power Company was based in Butte, Montana, and supplied power throughout Montana until 2000, when it sold its generating and transmission assets and became Touch America. This collection consists of 803 blueprints, drawings and maps and three bound volumes of financial records from the Missoula steam plant.

Summary:James Clinton Rule attended the State University of Montana (now the University of Montana) in Missoula in the 1920s. Rule was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity and also a member of the track team. This collection contains a scrapbook and an additional collection of materials related to his time at the University including photographs, dance cards, and correspondence as well as his freshman beanie.
