Summary:From 2005-2010, former Montana congressman Bob Brown conducted oral history interviews with a variety of political figures in Montana. The interviewees ranged from state legislators, lobbyists, attorneys and journalists, to Montana Constitutional Convention delegates and officials in administrative and financial branches of the Montana State government. A few highlights within the topics are Montana and the Anaconda Company, the recurring sales tax referendum, mining, elections, deregulation, and the legislative process over time.

Summary:The Civilian Public Service Smokejumpers Oral History Project includes 31 oral history interviews conducted in 1986 that detail the participants' experiences in non-military contributions during World War II. While there is emphasis on smokejumping and forest fire fighting in Montana and nearby states, the reminiscences include work in soil conservation and the mental health system.

Summary:Morton J. Elrod was an early Montana botanist, naturalist, University of Montana professor, and photographer. The collection consists of materials produced and collected by Elrod from his college and early teaching years through the early 1930s. Significant subjects include the flora and fauna of western Montana; Glacier National Park; the University of Montana; and Missoula, Montana.

Summary:Aaron Greenawalt was an automobile dealership owner in Missoula, Montana in the 1950s and 1960s. This collection contains three 16mm reels of film from Greenawalt's personal collection of home movies from around the Missoula area and family vacations.
