Summary:Charles Doherty was a newspaperman who owned and edited the Missoula County Times in Missoula, Montana.This collection contains biographical materials, correspondence files, newspaper clippings, financial and legal records, market and research reports, writings and addresses, and photographs created and collected by Doherty. Also included are records from his wife, Clara M. Doherty, and organizations (businesses and veterans' groups) to which Charles Doherty belonged.

This collection includes an array of materials by and about Huntley: biographical information, personal and professional correspondence; scripts written for his radio and television projects, speaking engagements, and news commentary projects; press clippings, primarily spanning his years with NBC; obituaries published in diverse outlets; an extensive photographic collection; a small sampling of news and documentary broadcasts; and some three-dimensional memorabilia. The collection also includes extensive information regarding Huntley's role with the Big Sky Resort.

Summary:S. Rae Logan was a Montana and Illinois progressive educator. The collection provides extensive documentation of Logan's career as an educator in rural Montana schools and in the well-known progressive Skokie School of Winnetka, Illinois. It also documents his lifelong and in-depth interests in progressive education, character and religious education, right-wing extremism and its relationship to academic freedom in both K-12 schools and universities, and taxation and its relationship to education funding.
