The Thomas Evans Jeremy papers (1847-1869) hold three documents. The first is a copy of a poem by Jeremy, "A Voice of the Prophet." The second is the trial proceedings of Ethan Pettit vs. Lorenzo Brower and Ezra Pettit, a case heard by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints High Council, of which Jeremy was a member. The proceedings concerned water rights and fishing privileges on the Jordan River in Salt Lake County. The third is a list of the letters, diaries, and accounts held by the Historical Department of the LDS Church.
The Preston Nutter Corporation records (1876-1981) document over one hundred years of ranching in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah. The records cover virtually every aspect of cattle ranching, from the buying, selling and shipping of cattle; to the acquisition of land, water, and grazing rights; to the wages and injuries of ranch hands. Also covered are many aspects of the private lives of the Nutter family.
