The Richard Tracey Wootton papers (1960-2000) consist of research material, surveys, and correspondence related to his book Saints and Scientists, which presents evidence that Utah is foremost in the U.S. in production of scientists, and argues that the LDS faith is largely responsible for that fact. Richard Tracey Wootton (b. 1918) has dedicated his life to education, related administrative work, and the LDS Church.
The Max Zimmer papers (1922-1940) consists of a series of articles published in the German periodical Stern during the years 1922-1923. These articles are chapter by chapter translation of John A. Widtsoe's Joseph Smith as Scientist: the Gospel and Science. Max Zimmer (1889-1958) worked as a translator for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1947 to 1958.
