G. T. Harrison papers

Repository:University of Utah Libraries, Special Collections
Summary:The G. T. Harrison papers (1802-1994) are a collection of studies of Mormonism, Christianity, and some politics written and collected by G. T. Harrison, who in the inventory will be referred to as GTH. Once a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), Harrison later became an atheist and continued his study of the history and theology of the LDS Church, as well as other Christian religions. He wrote several books, including Mormons Are Peculiar People, Mormonism Now and Then, And It Came to Pass, and That Mormon Book, all of which are included in this collection among many other books in which he made numerous notes. Much of the material in this collection focuses on controversial aspects of religion and politics, and includes several books, correspondence, notes, and articles.
