The James Stephens Brown diaries [typescripts] (1849-1892) contain transcriptions of five of James Stephens Brown's journals. These journals cover fragments of more than fourty-six years of his life, primarily those devoted to missionary work in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Great Britain, Tahiti, and to a missionary settlement south and southeast of the Colorado River.
The Lettie Dewey Campbell personal narrative [transcript] provides an account of her return to New York from an LDS mission in Scotland. During the voyage her ship was struck by an iceberg. Also included is a photocopy of a newsclipping regarding the event.
The George Teasdale papers (1770-1984) contain information regarding George Teasdale, an apostle for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Included in the collection are diaries, patriarchal blessings, correspondence, certificates, agreements, tax and financial documents, property deeds, notes, genealogy charts, and memorabilia. The collection is divided into three sections: personal, family, and religious materials.
