Summary:The Algie Ballif Forum records (1976-1990) contain documents regarding this women's group (founded 1977, originally called the Alice Louise Reynolds Women's Forum), the main objective of which was to educate the community and discuss women's issues. Included are brief biographies of members, transcripts of speeches given at monthly meetings, news clippings about forum events, a history about the origins of the forum, a calendar of events, and brochures and correspondence concerning women in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and their stand on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). A scrapbook presents news clippings about forum events, but also includes some correspondence, photocopies of photographs, and meeting calendars.

Summary:The John A. Farrell scrapbook contains clippings from the series "Utah: Inside the Church State" by John A. Farrell published in the Denver Post in 1982; reprint of the series published by the Denver Post in 1983. The series examined Mormon beliefs and doctrines, discrimination against non-Mormons in Utah, and the level of political and economic control exercised by the Mormon Church in Utah. Farrell was a reporter for the Denver Post.

Summary:The Frank Herman Jonas collection (circa 1840s-1980s) consists of materials collected by Frank H. Jonas, a political scientist who taught at the University of Utah, the University of Southern California, and the University of New Mexico, among other institutions. The collection reflects Jonas' research interests in the areas of Germany and the Nazi party, American politics (particularly in the West), and propaganda techniques. As a result, the collection contains numerous Nazi publications and documents stemming from German political activity in the 1950s, correspondence with notable Utah and other Western politicians dating from the 1930s through the 1970s, campaign and party ephemera from the same regions and time period, and U. S. and foreign propaganda materials from the World War II era.

Summary:The Utah women's issues collection (1963-1992) contains a collection of papers documenting major issues for women in Utah. Included are materials about the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and the political activities of Mormons for and against the ERA. There are documents and materials from Utah Divisions of Women's Organizations including the American Association of University Women, the International Women's Year, and the International Federation of University Women. Also included are documents and materials about Utah women's involvement in the arts, education, government, and the workplace.
