The W. J. Goodwin papers (1919, 1923-1924) contain a logbook which documents two trips in which Goodwin participated as a University of Utah engineering student. The first trip was a summer tour of U.S. National Parks and Canada. The second trip was a mining trip to California. Also included is a paper by Ethel Smith that discusses the Canadian Industrial Disputes Act of 1910.
The Owl Creek mining claim collection contains hand-copied duplicates of letters between J. H. White and Felix Chapellet. The letters concern the operation and progress of the Owl Creek claim, tunnels built, lumber, and a discussion on selling the claim. Also included are notes on ranches and other properties in the area. Owl Creek is located in Placer, California.
