Summary:The John Hudson papers (1848-1852, 1980) consist of documents detailing the life and work of John Hudson (1826-1850), an English emigrant who started for the gold fields of California but was forced by illness to remain in Salt Lake City, where he served as a member of the Stansbury Expedition to the Great Salt Lake and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The John Hudson papers contain 21 letters, 11 pencil sketches, and the Constitution and Minute Book of the Colony Guard, a private emigration company.

Summary:The William C. Seifrit papers (1848-1987) consist of research notes and writings by Seifrit. The bulk of the collection concerns the history of Utah, especially art and photographic history, documented by Seifrit on notecards and in notebooks. Information was taken mainly from early nineteenth century newspapers and magazines. Writings by Seifrit focus on Charles Henry Wilcken (1830-1915), a German deserter from Johnston's Army and friend of George Q. Cannon and Wilford Woodruff, as well as Wilcken's family.

Summary:The Charles Willden papers consist of materials primarily relating to Charles (1806-1883) and Elliott Willden, Charles' son. Included is a biography of Charles Willden, an early settler of southern Utah, compiled by his great granddaughter, Jennie Jensen Hancock. The biography includes diary extracts from an LDS mission to England in 1847 and family group sheets. Also included is a biography of his son, Elliott Willden, by Manila May Willden Hardy.
