David Henry Christensen (1869-1956) was an educator in Utah, a superintendent of Salt Lake City Schools, he served on the Board of Regents, was the president of Christensen Construction Company, and went on a mission and became a mission president for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS Church).

Lang served as a foreign service officer in the U.S. State Department. He was a Republican party activist in Utah and a member of an international management and marketing group called Sandberg-Lang Associates.

Summary:The Taxpayers for Utah records (1988) contain materials collected and produced by this group, formed in opposition to tax initiatives during the 1988 elections. This was a Utah non-profit corporation organized to defeat three tax limitation initiatives on the 1988 general election ballot. All three initiatives were overwhelmingly defeated.

Summary:The J. D. Williams papers (1936-2007) contain materials dealing mostly with political science. Included are correspondence, diaries, news clippings, notes, writings, class notes, scrapbooks, and various materials concerning public elections, civil rights, state government, and the bicentennial of the constitution. Williams came to the University of Utah as an instructor in 1952 and served as the director of the Hinckley Institute of Politics from 1965 to 1975. He retired from teaching in 1992.
