The Byron A. Hunter Papers (1938-1995) contain journal articles, education awards, a newsletter, conference papers, a course transcript, photocopy of his master's thesis, and a book of patents. Byron Hunter worked as a research chemist at Uniroyal from 1941 to 1975. He was awarded over 60 patents, primarily related to rubber and plastics. After his retirement from Uniroyal, he became a research associate at Brigham Young University, where he worked until 1997.
The Robert W. Parry papers (1960-2004) contain papers, reports, agendas, and minutes of various chemistry and science organizations. Parry is a distinguished professor of chemistry at the University of Utah, a world authority on the element boron, former president of the American Chemical Society, and was awarded the 1993 Priestley Medal. The collection also includes materials from the University of Utah and Parry's consultation work.
