Summary:The GeorgeC. and Gene Hatch papers (1908-1999) documents the buisness and conservation achievements of the Hatch and Glassman families in Utah during the 20th century. Included are extensive materials pertaining to the operation of The Ogden Standard Examiner, The Standard Corporation, KUTV, KALL, and other Hatch/Glassman media ventures. Also included is historical and research material pertaining to the Hatch family's efforts to establish Utah's redrock wilderness as nationally protected space, as well as their work on developing Antelope Island as a state recreational resource.
