Summary:The Mary Murphy Yellowstone Diary a personal tour of Yellowstone National Park as seen by a tourist. The diary provides various facts, figures, and sketches that range from how to differentiate various types of trees to statistics on geyser formations. The diary also provides insights into her personal experiences, such as, eating lunch along the Yellowstone River with prairie dogs as guests, viewing a presentation by a Navaho Indian woman, and observing the feeding habits of bears at the Bear Feeding Grounds near Old Faithful. Mary's journey took her through portions of Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Summary:The C. F. Spiesshofer Diary covers the life of Mr. Spiesshofer from 1904 through 1907. Spiesshofer's diary discusses his finances as well as his trek through Yellowstone Park. Throughout his twelve days traveling the park, he describes such destinations as Madison Canyon, Madison River, Firehole River, Fountain Geyser, Mushroom Pool, Five Sisters, Black Warrior Geyser, Sulphur Pool, Midway Geyser Basin, Upper Geyser Basin, Old Faithful, Elephant Ear, Yellowstone Lake, Canyon, Hayden Valley and Yellowstone Falls.

Summary:The Yellowstone National Park Travel Diary describes a girl's Western trip with her father and aunt in 1915. The family's travels took them through St. Paul, Medora, Livingston, Yellowstone National Park, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Salt Lake and Denver before returning to Chicago. The family spent six days of their trip touring Yellowstone National Park by stagecoach. Descriptions of park features and fellow travelers are brief. Other sites discussed it the diary include the San Francisco World's Fair, the opening of the Panama Canal, and Yosemite National Park.
