Lecture notes from Davies's medical studies at Rush Medical College, Chicago, Ill.(1878-1879); book of veterinary prescriptions and remedies (1862) kept by Davies as a druggist's apprentice in Wales; manuscript of an unpublished book by Davies entitled Preventive Medicine (1897); and poems (1867-1898) by Davies, chiefly on religious and temperance themes.
The Judith Shannon Paine Papers date from 1978 through 1994. The bulk of the collection consists of personal and professional correspondence Paine received while editor of the small press magazines The Village Idiot and Delirium between 1987 and 1993. This correspondence often includes poetry and short story manuscripts, artwork, and chapbooks or literary magazines. The collection contains Paine’s notebooks logging all submissions she received during this time. Additionally the collection includes some of Paine's own poetry as well as materials relating to her work as a substitute teacher, and a community correspondent for the Shoshone County News Press.
