Allen and Lewis records

Summary:Cicero Hunt Lewis (1826-1897) (also known as Cicero Horatius Lewis) and Lucius H. Allen created the Allen and Lewis mercantile company in Portland, Oregon in 1851. The collection contains five ledgers of sales, cash, consignments and account records, 1851-1868.

The ASDA Chapter Records consist of three scrapbooks from the school years 2000/2001, 2001/2002, and 2002/2003, created by the OHSU chapter of the organization, including brochures, newsletters, correspondence, photographs, and promotional advertisements from dental vendors.

Summary:Robert Leroy Anderson, D.M.D. was born in Baker, Oregon in 1924. He graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1952. He maintained a dental practice in Portland, Oregon from 1952-1986. Dr. Anderson died on March 7, 2008. Karen Ann Brinkman, R.D.H., (registered dental hygienist ) was a graduate of the UO Dental School, Dental Hygeine Program. She served as an instructor in the Dental Hygeine program of the UO Dental School and author for dental publications. She was employed by Dr. Robert L. Anderson as a dental hygienist. They were married in 1991. The materials consist of documents, certificates, photographs, drawings and an audiotape.

Summary:The Educational Communications department at OHSU (known as EdCOMM), provides production services such as photography, audio/video, graphic design, and multimedia support for classrooms. The collection contains strictly photographic materials from the mid 1980's through the late 1990's. The collection consists of 170 folders of photographs, contact sheets and negatives. The folders are arranged (in original order) alphabetically by the department or subject documented at OHSU. The photographs, contact sheets and negatives are primarily in good condition, ranging in various sizes from 5 x 7 to 9.5 x 12 inches. The images were taken by staff photographers at EdCOMM likely for promotional purposes.

The OHSU Graduate Student Organization (GSO) was created by and for the School of Medicine graduate students. The GSO present awards, holds monthly meetings and various committees, advocates for graduate students, and promotes communication with faculty. The collection consists of 47 folders of textual documents and CD-ROMs, a box containing a printed poster presentation, and a Student Research Forum banner. The dates of the materials range between 2003 - 2013.
