Dr. Herbert C. Miller, D.D.S., M.D., was born in 1864, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from the Missouri Dental College in 1885 and from the St. Louis Medical College in 1887. Dr. Miller founded the North Pacific College of Dentistry in 1898. As president, he gave North Pacific College of Dentistry to the State of Oregon in 1945. He died, December 20, 1947, at his new home, Newport, Oregon. The collection consists of personal papers and photographs and professional documents from Herbert Miller's career as an early dentist in the Pacific Northwest.
