Topics of oral history include Adkison's career as science teacher and administrator at Idaho Technical Institute (1910-1923) and Boise Junior College (1936-1940); his work as political aide to Idaho Governor Charles C. Moore and U.S. Senator John Thomas; activities as secretary-manager of Idaho Home Industries Association; and his government service as administrator for Civilian Conservation Corps and Selective Service System (World War II).

Hummel. Includes material relating to Bergquist's leadership positions in Your Family, Friends, and Neighbors (YFFN), Don't Sign On, and No On One Coalition; his role in organizing the first Gay Pride parades in Boise; and the statewide campaign which Bergquist co-chaired against Proposition One, the anti-gay initiative, 1993-1994. Personal memorabilia includes his personal journal (1979-1980) from his college days at Northwestern University with reflections on his sexuality, written before he came out; his coming-out letter to his parents (1989); and scripts he wrote in college and in Hollywood. Some of the subject and organizational files were compiled jointly by Bergquist and John C. Hummel.

Boise Barracks Ordnance Removal Reports

Summary:Reports issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, and contract consultants regarding the use and storage of explosive ordnance at Boise Barracks in the 19th and 20th centuries by the U.S. Army and Idaho National Guard, with plans for removal of ordnance from and environmental restoration of the firing ranges on the Barracks reserve and adjacent areas of the Boise foothills; together with minutes of the local Restoration Advisory Board meetings. The studies were conducted under the Defense Environmental Restoration Program for Formerly Used Defense Sites.
