Summary:The Bae B. Gardner papers (1910-1997) contain diaries, correspondence, notebooks, essays, speeches, various articles and publications, and news clippings. Gardner was an employee at the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. Most of the collection contains information on Robert H. Hinckley, who founded the Hinckley Institute, and politics in general. Gardner grew up in Hinckley, Utah.

Summary:The Hinckley Institue of Politics was established in 1965 as a research agency of the University of Utah to promote political and civic involvement and to engage students in the political process. The first series of this collection contains correspondence, financial reports, minutes, and miscellaneous records pertaining to the Institute's administration, educational programs, internships, and scholarships. The second series of this collection consists of the correspondence of Ted L. Wilson who served as director of the Hinckley Intsitute from 1985 to 2003.

Summary:The University of Utah College of Law was founded in 1912. Samuel D. Thurman served as dean from 1962 -1975. He also served as president of the American Association of Law Schools. This collection contains the professional papers of Thurman as well as administrative records of the College of Law at the University of Utah. The professional papers relate to Thurman's participation in professional organizations such as the American Association of Law Schools, the American Bar Association, the Order of the Coif, Foundation Press, the Utah State Bar Association, and the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah. Also included are faculty meeting minutes (1947-1975), the texts of lectures given as part of the William H. Leary lecture series, scrapbooks of the Law Wives Club, and related materials.
