Summary:The Ole Adolf Anderson Yellowstone National Park Photographs consists images and negative that are primarily of wildlife and buildings in and around the Mammoth Hot Springs area. A few images are of the Anderson family, other Park locations, and possibly buildings near Helena.

Haynes Family Photographs

Summary:The Haynes Family Photographs are comprised of photographs taken by F. Jay Haynes (FJH), Jack Ellis Haynes (JEH), and others during the period 1866-1969. The photographs are portraits, candid snapshots, Haynes Inc. (HInc), Haynes Picture Shops (HPS), and Haynes Studios Inc. (HSInc) photographs, and other images covering a very diverse subject matter. The vast majority of the photographs are concerned with friends and family of the of the Haynes (FJH and JEH) and Yellowstone National Park (YNP). Additionally, there are also "Cabinet and Boudoir" photographs taken by FJH as the official photographer of the Northern Pacific Railroad (NPRR) and many photographs, numbered and unnumbered, in Haynes family photo albums. Additional images include artwork prepared for Haynes brochures, artwork by illustrator Fritz Schlanze, photos of paintings by W.H. Jackson, an extensive collection of reproductions of paintings by C.M. Russell sold by HInc and HPS in YNP, and other artwork and photographs related to the area surrounding YNP and the West in general.

Gene Quaw Collection

Summary:The Gene Quaw Collection consists of a autographed tribute album, some printed items, and 106 black and white photographs taken of Quaw, his band members, and friends in Yellowstone National Park, most of which are circa 1921-1922. The printed materials in the collection consist of a copy of Yellowstone, along with a mimeograph lyric sheet for the song dated March 4,1947, a business card for Quaw as pianist for the "Lone Star Trio" at Old Faithful Inn, and a program for a formal recital at Mammoth Hot Springs, September 11, 1921. The original hand carved wooden cover for the autographed tribute album has been retained with the collection.
