Summary:The Darrell Mills Barnes photograph collection contains images of Kenneth Barnes, father of Darrell Mills Barnes. Folder one consists of three images of the 1915 and 1916 East High school Football teams. The first image of the East High Football team was torn and missing corners and was digitally repaired in October 2001. Folder two contains images of Kenneth Barnes in World War I uniform; and folder three contains one image of Brighton, pre-1918.

Summary:The Great Salt Lake Wetlands History Project is a joint effort of Utah State University (USU), Weber State University, Westminster College, and the University of Utah. The project’s aim was to gather oral histories, photographs of material culture and wetlands culture, and records to document the fascinating history of the Great Salt Lake wetlands (GSLW) and the people who work and play along its shores and marshes as well as to enhance the existing GSLW collections at the four institutions. During Utah State University’s collecting day at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on May 6, 2017, USU Special Collections & Archives, folklore curator interviewed community scholars about their experiences on the Great Salt Lake. The collection includes eight interviews, images, and associated release forms.

Summary:The Maurice C. Greenbaum Letters were written by him to his fiancée, Beatrice Weiner, when he worked as a temporary ranger at Yellowstone National Park during the summer of 1940. The letters discuss his duties, his work mates and working conditions, tourists he interacted with and scenery he experienced. Greenbaum also discusses his future plans, concerns for Beatrice’s health, and other personal matters.

Summary:The Henry F. Keyes Photograph Album and Diary contains snapshots and journal entries taken by Keyes taken during a hike through southwest Montana. The album contains images of the steamship North Land, Mackinac Island, the North Dakota Badlands, Bozeman, Bridger Canyon, Gallatin Canyon, Lone Peak, Virginia City, the Red Rock valley, Sawtell's Ranch at Henry's Lake, Upper Geyser Basin, and Lake Yellowstone. People pictured are Keyes and his companions, Edward C. Alderson, Jack Bean, and Felix G. White. The diary entries make note of the scenery, the content of his meals, and even the time of day when certain described events occurred. Many of his fellow students are mentioned, and geographic details and wildlife sightings recorded.

Summary:The Nick Lyons collection includes the corporate documents of Nick Lyons Books, Lyons and Burford, and Lyons Press in the form of legal documents, correspondence, contracts, and proposals. In addition, this collection includes original rough drafts, with notes and hand written editorial notations, of books, articles, and columns written by Nick Lyons for publications including Fly Fisherman Magazine, Field and Stream, and the New York Times. Summary:The William J. Foreman diary is a positive photocopy of two pages from a diary kept by Foreman that record a trip he took to Yellowstone National Park on August 12 through 14, 1897. The description of the journey and countryside is sparse and the only mention of wildlife is an encounter with a skunk at a camp on the Gibbon River.

Summary:The Wylie Permanent Camping Company Yellowstone Lake Tourist Register dates from June 18, 1904 through September 10, 1909. The ledger contains the signatures of guests who stayed at the facility. The first thirty-six pages of the ledger were used as a scrapbook by a previous owner; what remains of the newspaper and magazine clipping fragments does not entirely obscure the handwritten entries.
