Summary:Mark Bailey is an Oregon photographer and graduate of the University of Oregon, 1972, with a BFA in photography. The collection contains photographic documentaries of Junction City, Oregon, (1974 to 1975); Luckey's Club Cigar of Eugene, Oregon, prior to relocation on Willamette Street (1911-1974); and Valsetz, Oregon, (1976 to 1980). The documentaries are presented as black and white silver prints.

Beekman, the founder and owner of Beekman Bank in Jacksonville, Oregon, his son Benjamin Beekman, a Portland, Oregon lawyer and UO Law School faculty member, and his daughter Carrie Beekman, who donated substantially to the University of Oregon. The collection consists of correspondence, diaries, miscellaneous manuscripts and publications, scrapbooks and photographs.

Summary:Lawrence, Tucker & Wallmann was an architectural firm in Portland, Oregon, from 1946-1960. It was the successor firm to Tucker and Wallmann, and Lawrence and Lawrence, two other Portland, Oregon firms. The principals of the firm were Abbott Lawrence, Ernest F. Tucker, and George R. Wallmann. The collection includes project files, drawings, and film.

James Hugh Pruett papers

Summary:J. Hugh Pruett (1865-1955) was an educator and an amateur astronomer who passionately tracked Northwest meteors, built and operated the Evergreen Observatory in his home in Eugene, taught astronomy classes through the University of Oregon Extension for thirty years, served as Pacific Coast director for the American Meteor Society, and wrote articles for astronomy journals. The collection contains correspondence, articles and manuscripts of articles, an Evergreen Observatory visitor registration book, Port Orford meteor information, clippings, scrapbooks that document his prolific radio essays, speeches, and newspaper articles, and also clippings of his father's newspaper writings and participation in the Baptist church, as well as photographs and negatives that document the activities of Evergreen Observatory and illustrate Pruett's writings and lectures.

Summary:Alfred Cooper Shelton (b. 1891) was a zoological student and assistant at the University of Oregon from 1915-1917, and author of "Distributional List of the Land Birds of West Central Oregon." The collection consists of 317 prints, 285 nitrate negatives, and six glass images, documenting landscape and wildlife in California, Oregon, and Africa.

J.A. Winter and Clarence L. Winter photographs

Summary:John A. Winter (dates unknown) was one of Eugene's earliest photographers and maintained a studio there 1864-1886 in addition to working in Albany and Brownsville. His son, Clarence, kept the Eugene studio from 1886-1907 and then moved north to Portland and Seattle. The Winter studio collection consists of 37 images, primarily portraits.
