Summary:William H.H. and Emma Dickinson were early residents of Missoula, Montana. The collection contains a Dickinson family genealogy, Mr. Dickinson's Civil War diary and a later autobiographical account based on the diary, Mrs. Dickinson's reminiscence of early Missoula, an autograph book from Mr. Dickinson's family, personal and business financial records, an assay report, and early photographs of Missoula.

Summary:The Hamilton, Ballinger, Davidson, Bunnell, McAfee, and Weesner Papers consists of correspondence, personal documents, estate documents, research, and literary productions assembled by various members of the families, including Florence Ballinger Hamilton, Paul Ballinger Davidson, PhD, Marie Bunnell Davidson, Jane Davidson Schultz Klockman, and Esther Lee Davidson Engstrom. Materials of interest include Civil War, World War I, and World War II correspondence. Of further interest are two journals relating to Yellowstone National Park, materials from Dr. Davidson's fellowship at the Mellon Institute and his papermaking materials.

Some materials relate to the Bishop Scott Academy in Portland, for which Hill was director prior to 1901.

Gene Quaw Collection

Summary:The Gene Quaw Collection consists of a autographed tribute album, some printed items, and 106 black and white photographs taken of Quaw, his band members, and friends in Yellowstone National Park, most of which are circa 1921-1922. The printed materials in the collection consist of a copy of Yellowstone, along with a mimeograph lyric sheet for the song dated March 4,1947, a business card for Quaw as pianist for the "Lone Star Trio" at Old Faithful Inn, and a program for a formal recital at Mammoth Hot Springs, September 11, 1921. The original hand carved wooden cover for the autographed tribute album has been retained with the collection.
