Correspondence, memoranda, speeches, articles, press releases, reports, studies, legislation, case files, campaign files, scrapbooks, photos, films, audiotapes, and other papers, relating chiefly to Church's career as a U.S. Senator from Idaho, 1956-1980.
The Sawtooth Society Records contain correspondence, minutes, reports, fundraising records, publications, clippings, and other records from Bethine Church's service as acting president and president of the Sawtooth Society. Much of the collection documents the formation and early development of the organization. The collection also reflects controversies and other issues regarding the preservation of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA) in Idaho.
