Summary:The Frank Herman Jonas collection (circa 1840s-1980s) consists of materials collected by Frank H. Jonas, a political scientist who taught at the University of Utah, the University of Southern California, and the University of New Mexico, among other institutions. The collection reflects Jonas' research interests in the areas of Germany and the Nazi party, American politics (particularly in the West), and propaganda techniques. As a result, the collection contains numerous Nazi publications and documents stemming from German political activity in the 1950s, correspondence with notable Utah and other Western politicians dating from the 1930s through the 1970s, campaign and party ephemera from the same regions and time period, and U. S. and foreign propaganda materials from the World War II era.
