Summary: | William Robert (Bud) Moore was a well-known forester and conservationist from Montana. Formerly the Division Chief of Fire Control and Air Operations for the Forest Service Northern Region, Moore wrote and spoke on sustainable forestry, trapping, hunting, and other wilderness topics following his retirement in 1974; he also published his novel The Lochsa Story: Land Ethics in the Bitterroot Mountains in 1996. This collection contains articles, photographs, videos, maps, journals, notebooks, research files, correspondence, and other personal papers created by and about Bud Moore. |
