Summary:Harry Oscar Bell was the owner of a successful Ford automobile dealership in Missoula, Montana from 1915 until about 1970. He also owned and operated the Bar Lazy B Ranch near Ronan, Montana, specializing in Arabian horses. This collection consists of publications, financial records, photographs, correspondence, artifacts and films relating to H.O. Bell, his family, his ranch, and his Ford dealership.

Summary:Paul Gordon Lauren is a nationally and internationally recognized writer, teacher, and lecturer on human rights, diplomacy, and international relations. He is a Regents Professor at the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. This collection includes drafts and research from many of his books and articles, transcripts from his public addresses, class lecture notes, teaching materials, Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center materials, and correspondence with Mike and Maureen Mansfield.

Bud Moore Papers

Summary:William Robert (Bud) Moore was a well-known forester and conservationist from Montana. Formerly the Division Chief of Fire Control and Air Operations for the Forest Service Northern Region, Moore wrote and spoke on sustainable forestry, trapping, hunting, and other wilderness topics following his retirement in 1974; he also published his novel The Lochsa Story: Land Ethics in the Bitterroot Mountains in 1996. This collection contains articles, photographs, videos, maps, journals, notebooks, research files, correspondence, and other personal papers created by and about Bud Moore.

Jeanette Rankin collection

Summary:Jeannette Rankin was the first woman elected to Congress and served twice as Montana's United States House Representative from 1917 to 1919 and from 1941 to 1943. The Jeannette Rankin collection consists of pamphlets and form letters related to her campaigns and positions on legislative issues and some stationery. It also includes Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) files on Rankin and the Jeannette Rankin Brigade, as well as other research material gathered by James J. Lopach and Jean A. Luckowski for their book Jeannette Rankin: A Political Woman.
