Summary:From 2005-2010, former Montana congressman Bob Brown conducted oral history interviews with a variety of political figures in Montana. The interviewees ranged from state legislators, lobbyists, attorneys and journalists, to Montana Constitutional Convention delegates and officials in administrative and financial branches of the Montana State government. A few highlights within the topics are Montana and the Anaconda Company, the recurring sales tax referendum, mining, elections, deregulation, and the legislative process over time.

Summary:Clem Pellett research collection (circa 1930-2010) contain the material gathered by Clem Pellett in his pursuit of the man who murdered his grandfather, Clarence Pellett, in 1951 outside Shelby, Montana. The collection murder cases heard in the 9th Judicial Court in Montana during the 1950s trying the murderer, Frank Dryman,as well as files on Mr. Dryman's defense attorney, former U.S. House of Representatives from Montana, Jerry O'Connell.

Rankin Family Papers

Summary:The Rankins were a Missoula, Montana, family with a mill business. The collection includes a broad range of John Rankin's financial records, 1888-1906; speeches and clippings of Jeannette Rankin from 1916-1941, her 1940 congressional campaign, and a Report of International Congress of Women, 1919; and Wellington Rankin's 1946 campaign and two Montana Supreme Court cases, 1925 and 1941, in which he served, respectively, as attorney for the plaintiff and attorney for the defendant.
