Summary:Robert Sharp Bean (1854-1931) was an Oregon judge who served in circuit court, the state supreme court, and in the U.S. district court. Thomas Condon (1822-1907) was an Irish Congregational minister, geologist, and paleontologist, and professor at the University of Oregon Collection comprises correspondence, biographical and genealogical material, documents, sketchbooks, scrapbooks, memorabilia, and photographs divided into two segments centered around Robert S. Bean and his father in law Thomas Condon.

Summary:The Beekman family consists of Cornelius C. Beekman, the founder and owner of Beekman Bank in Jacksonville, Oregon, his son Benjamin Beekman, a Portland, Oregon lawyer and UO Law School faculty member, and his daughter Carrie Beekman, who donated substantially to the University of Oregon. The collection consists of correspondence, diaries, miscellaneous manuscripts and publications, scrapbooks and photographs.

Summary:Alice Henson Ernst was an American author, playwright, and teacher, at University of Washington, 1920-1923, and University of Oregon, 1924-1950, who had special interests in the history of the early theater of the Pacific Northwest and masked ritual dances of Northwest Coast tribes. Collection comprises correspondence, including letters from Franz Boas; manuscripts of books, plays, essays, and poems; diaries and notebooks, 1909-1964; playbills; broadsides; and photographs, most relating to Native American masks.

Robert Aubrey Miller papers

Summary:Robert Aubrey Miller (1854-1941) graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon in 1878, and began a law practice in Jacksonville, Oregon, served in the Oregon House of Representatives, and was as an aide to Governor Sylvester Pennoyer. The collection contains correspondence, letterpress volumes, a diary, proceedings of the Jacksonville District Pomona Grange (1876-1879), a Willamette University memorandum book, scrapbooks of clippings, speeches, Southern Oregon District Fair material, books of poems, excerpts from The Hesperian, a literary magazine edited by Miller, and photographs.
