Collection Title:Leone Cass Baer photographs collection

Summary:The collection consists primarily of autographed publicity portraits of music, theater, and movie personalities, given to Leone Cass Baer, ca. 1910-1921, when she was drama editor and critic for the Oregonian. A few are unsigned, including a photographic print on postcard stock of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Houdini, and a few are movie stills and scenes from theater productions.

Summary:The collection is a comprehensive representation of the work of Pietro Belluschi (1899-1994), an important twentieth century American regionalist and modernist architect. The collection consists of architectural drawings (1931-1983) including details, elevations, perspectives, plans, sections, sketches, tracings, blueprints, and photostats, as well as photographs, works of art , and records (1927-1983).

Summary:This collection contains photographs taken by Harold M. Brown (1887-1956), a commercial photographer in Oregon and Washington, from circa 1909-1956. Subjects include photographs of the lumber and shipping industries in northwestern Oregon; views of various locations in Oregon and Washington, including ranches and agriculture; and portraits of Brown and other persons.

Summary:The collection consists primarily of images photographed by Donald D. Burkhart, an avid mountaineer and skier, 1926-1933. The photographs provide extensive documentation of the Pacific Northwest landscape, with emphasis on the Oregon and Washington Cascade Mountains, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast. Of special note are documentation of mountaineering and early organized ski jumping events on Mt. Hood.

Summary:This collection consists of photographs taken by June D. Drake that mostly document the town of Silverton, Or. from circa 1900-1955. Includes portraits of townspeople and views of businesses, streets, organizations, and homes in Silverton and vicinity, as well as Mount Angel and Salem, Or., and photographs of agriculture, the lumber industry, and transportation, among many other subjects. Of special interest are Drake's photos of the area now known as Silver Falls State Park, which he helped to establish.

Summary:The photographs document one of the most important and longest-lived financial institutions in Oregon and its expansion into branch banking throughout the state and into Idaho, Utah, and Washington. The collection covers personnel, activities, and buildings, most notably three buildings for the Portland home office, all designed by noted architect Pietro Belluschi.

Summary:The collection consists primarily of photographs taken between 1960 and 1980 by Lambert Florin to illustrate his books on the history of the American West, along with some historic images he collected for his many projects. Major subjects documented by the collection include: ghost towns, abandoned mining operations, nineteenth century architecture, horse-drawn vehicles, grave markers, privies, and western trees.
 
Collection Title:George I. Hazeltine and Martin M. Hazeltine photographs

Summary:This collection contains photographs taken by Oregon photographers Martin M. Hazeltine and his brother, George I. Hazeltine. Martin M. Hazeltine was one of the early photographers of Yosemite and traveled from California to Alaska making photographs before settling down in Baker City, Or., later in his career. George settled in Canyon City, Or., in the 1860s and photography became one of his many enterprises. Martin M. Hazeltine's photographs make up the bulk of the collection and depict scenic views of Alaska, California, Idaho, Oregon, and Yellowstone National Park.
