Summary:This collection contains financial ledgers and other business records of the Cronise Photo Studio in Salem, Or., started in 1902 by portrait photographer Thomas Jefferson Cronise and continued by his son, Harry W. Cronise, until circa 1973. There is also one volume of business records of another well-known Salem photographer, Myra E. Sperry, as well as records from Thomas Jefferson Cronise's first career as a printer and some personal papers kept by Harry W. Cronise.

Summary:Eva Emery Dye (1855-1947) was a nationally renowned author of historical fiction who popularized Oregon Country history for children and adults. The Dye family photographs collection documents the personal and professional life of Eva and other family members. The collection includes images of her interviewing Se-Cho-Wa, who remembered Lewis and Clark, photographs of Eva's husband, Charles Henry Dye, and their four children and grandchildren.

First Unitarian Church Exhibit: Architecture of Jamieson Parker Photographs

Summary:Photographs mounted for a 1974 exhibit, “An Exposition on the Fiftieth Anniversary of the First Unitarian Church.” Most of the collection consists of images of buildings and churches designed by Jamieson Parker, Portland, Or., architect and noted architectural historian. Most of the images were made in the early 1970s for the exhibit by an unidentified photographer.

Summary:This collection primarily contains photographs taken by Benjamin A. Gifford, who worked both in Portland and The Dalles, Or. from 1890-1920, both as a solo photographer and in partnerships with Herbert Hale as Gifford & Hale and with Arthur M. Prentiss as Gifford & Prentiss. The collection also contains photographs taken by Benjamin's son, Ralph I. Gifford, who began work in his father's studio and later was a photographer for the Oregon State Highway Commission until his death in 1947.
