Summary:Publication of original fiction in the Sunday edition of the Chicago Tribune began with the September 21, 1919 issue and for the next fifty years, fiction (daily serials, Sunday serials, and short stories) was a major feature of the Chicago Tribune Newspapers Syndicate, later the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc. The collection (1919-1969) contains correspondence with literary agents and authors, as well as manuscripts, a list of short stories and serials, serial synopses, and sales records, 1919-1969.
