Summary:Quirinus Breen served as a professor at the University of Oregon form 1938 to 1964. Breen taught in the history department, focusing his studies on Greek, Roman and French history during the Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation eras. The majority of the collection consists of lecture notes and course descriptions from the history courses he taught at the University of Oregon as well as the course notes for a class in this History of Education at Grand Valley State College. Additional materials include Breen’s unpublished papers as well as his personal correspondence.

Summary:Thomas Condon (1822-1907) was an Irish Congregational minister, a geologist and paleontologist, and a professor at the University of Oregon. The collection (1870-1900; 1946) contains correspondence, Condon's class teaching record, UO Board of Regents meeting minutes, a catalogue of the Condon specimen collection, geology publications, and photographs of minerals, specimens, the Condon family, and fossils.

Summary:The bid to consolidate higher education in Oregon began with the the Zorn-Macpherson School Moving Bill of 1932. The collection (1932-1934) contains research files and a scrapbook of the Register Guard Eugene newspaper regarding arguments and statistics surrounding the consolidation attempt.

Summary:The University of Oregon Constitution invests the statutory faculty with governing power of the university, and the faculty in turn delegates governance to the elected members of the University (faculty) Senate. The collection (1933-2010) includes records of the Faculty Assembly, the Senate, and the Faculty-Student Council, and material includes minutes, reports, plans, task force, caucus, and committee documents, and audio recordings of meetings.
