Lemuel Evans Boren (1879-1961) served in the infantry in Cuba and in the Philippine Islands, was appointed inspector in the Philippine Constabulary in 1901, promoted to major, and resigned in 1909. Albert Montreville Taylor served in the Phillipine Constabulary. The collection (1900-1966) contains correspondence, diaries, constabulary records and publications, and also personal papers, photographs, and memorabilia.
Frederick W. Wichman served as a seaman, and in the infantry in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War and Philippine-American War, 1898-1901. The collection contains diaries and letters Wichman kept during his military service, and during a voyage around the world in 1901.
