Biographical NoteReturn to Top

James Rufus Anderson Jr. (1922-2010) was born in Brazil, Indiana. He joined the University of Washington School of Social Work faculty in 1968. He held a joint appointment in Social Work and the School of Public Health & Community Medicine until his part-time retirement in 1982. During his tenure, he served as Associate Professor of Social Work and Assistant to the Dean for Health Sciences. He was a member of the Provost's Task Force for Program Review of the University, served in the Faculty Senate and chaired the Facilities and Planning Council among other things.
