Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Agnes Birkman (1871-1955) was an artist who worked in watercolor, oils, and china. She graduated from Vassar where she studied art in 1892 and the Pratt Institute. She taught art and design at West Seattle High School and also taught art and design at a summer session of the University of Washington. She was a member of the Woman's Century Club and gave talks about art to women's groups. She was also the president of the Queen City Roller Canary Club in 1938.
