Tape recorded interview conducted by Leatrice Kraft on 7 Nov 1985 (Side 2 of cassette is partially blank).

Mrs. Kahan shares reminiscences of life with her husband, Rabbi Isadore Kahn, on the Island of Rhodes and in Rome, Italy. She also describes how and why they came to Seattle and about their warm reception in Seattle. The rabbi was sponsored by both Sephardic synagogues, Ezra Bessaroth and Bikur Cholim, and she comments on how difficult it was for the rabbi to be serving both. She talks about the adjustments they had to make to this country in regards to language and customs. She describes the duties and relations the rabbi had with each synagogue.
