Ragamala is a Seattle-based non-profit, founded in 1981, that "strives to advance the traditional performing arts of South Asia through exceptional programming" in the Puget Sound region. Their main activities include putting on concerts and recitals showcasing traditional musical and dance performances from South Asia, as well as lectures, interviews, and demonstrations.

Performers: Kumud Nagarkar/voice; Benji Wertheimer/tabla; Sharad Gadre/harmonium.Contents: Prayer (sung); Rag Yaman (alap, khyal) On the original recording the tape side ran out during the khyal, leaving a short gap while the tape was changed; on the work disc the conclusion of the khyal follows immediately, but a slight break will be detected. (EC tape 1 and the beginning of EC tape 2 are included on WD 1; the remainder of EC 2 is on WD 2.)
