The Office for Nursing Research Facilitation became the Office for Nursing Research in 1986; however, the department continues to support the research endeavors of both faculty and students through consultations throughout the development of their programs of research. These services include assistance with: design, measurement, statistical and qualitative analysis, and computer applications; integration and manipulation of computing resources; developing budgets and preparing grant proposals for submission to state and federal agencies, nonprofit foundations, and corporations; and preparing manuscripts for publication of research findings. The Office also provides assistance with clinical or administrative questions to agencies in Washington state that wish to conduct their own nursing research.
