Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Carol Werner is a professor emerita of psychology at the University of Utah. She received her PhD in Psychology from Ohio State University in 1973, then began her career at the University of Utah. While at the university, she served as the director of Environmental Studies from 1996 to 2003 and also as an adjunct professor of Architecture and of Family and Consumer studies. Much of her research has focused on environmental behavior change in areas such as the use of pesticides, toxic cleaning chemicals, recycling, and mass transit. She is a fellow of the American Psychological Society.
