Bill Sharp is a researcher from Bozeman, Montana, who compiled extensive research materials and photographs from the Civilian Conservation Corps in Montana. He was involved in efforts to create a national museum dedicated to the Civilian Conservation Corps and in the construction of other monuments and memorials related to the program.

Series II contains packets of photographic prints and negatives of Civilian Conservation Corps camps in Montana, arranged alphabetically by camp location. The origin of the majority of the photographs is unclear. Some photographs may be duplicates from collections at the Montana Historical Society.

Two accessions of materials were combined and reorganized to create this collection. The creator of the collection organized research and photographs alphabetically by camp location. This original arrangement was maintained for these portions of the collection. The creator’s original folder descriptions and arrangement were maintained wherever possible.
